Secret Santa Open House Weekend
December 8 - 9, 2025
White Springs, Florida
Event Coordinator - Joy Montgomery
Most of our trails are open and in great shape, the Park's Festival of Lights will be opening, and the town will be
kicking off the season with their annual holiday parade. We will be doing Trail Work on Friday and
and Saturday mornings, please let Dale Nanny at [email protected]
if you wish to participate. On Friday
night we will enjoy a wine and cheese happy hour, and those who wish can decorate
themselves and their bicycles and ride in the town parade. There will be a pot luck
supper on Saturday night followed by a bicycle-related gift exchange. We will also be
enjoying off-road, gravel, and on-road rides throughout the weekend.
This is a free members-only event, so if you haven’t done so already and want to
participate, be sure to complete an online membership registration on the Suwannee
Bicycle Association website.
If you plan to attend please RSVP to Joy Montgomery at [email protected].
Friday, 4:00 PM
Parade Prep Happy Hour. BYOB. Charcuterie provided. Meet up,
decorate bikes and ride to the parade lineup at the ballfield or just watch.
Friday, 5:00 PM
White Springs – Christmas Festival of Lights Parade – Bring a bag of candy to throw to children.
Parade starts at the ball park at 5 p.m. and continues along Spring Street and into the State Park.
If you and/or your significant other would be willing to ride your bike in the parade this year,
please consider purchasing a set of these very cool spoke or handlebar lights from FAT BRAIN
Toys (or any other site) called Wheel Brightz. or Cruizin Brightz. They are about $15 each and
to be really effective, I suggest a set for the front and the back wheels in either red or green
if you choose the Wheel Brightx. Of course batteries are NOT included and each set requires three AAs.
If we could get at least 6-8 of us donning these lights, it would really call attention to our club
and bring smiles to hundreds of adoring onlookers! At another ride out it looked awesome!
Of course those who don't have the lights will also be encouraged to ride but perhaps our "lightbearers" will
ride front and center to announce the arrival of the SBA faction.
From 4 pm to 9 pm Suwannee Hardware and Feed will be hosting Christmas on Bridge Street,
so no parking in front of HQ, but there will be a Chili Cook-Off you are welcome to
compete in or enjoy the tastings!
