Suwannee River State Park

Cost: $10 individual SBA Members; $15 family SBA Members (camping fee is separate and is paid directly to the Suwannee River State Park when you make your reservations.)

Enjoy a relaxing weekend of road, gravel, and mountain bike rides, kayaking and inner tubing at Suwannee River State Park, . Saturday afternoon, enjoy a relaxing float or paddle on the river. SBA tubes are provided or you can bring your own boat. Enjoy hiking in the park.

Mountain bike rides will be at the Big Oak trail. Unfortunately, due to major hurricane damage Anderson Springs trail is not rideable.

Friday Evening:

SBA Board Meeting 7:30 pm @ Cabin 1

Saturday Morning:

8 am:

• MTB: TBD
• Road Bike: TBD - 8, 22 & 31 mile options
• Gravel Bike: TBD
• Kayak Trip with Edwin TBD

1:30 pm: Raft/Inner Tube Float Trip

Saturday Evening:

6:30 pm: There will be a pot luck dinner at the pavilion. Paper products will be provided.

8 am:

You are responsible for making your own campsite reservations (floridastateparks.org) at Suwannee River State Park.

Please RSVP to Sharon Shea >with the number of members in your party (and your site #, if applicable) so that we can ensure we have enough tubes and paper products. Kayak Trip: If you need to rent a kayak/canoe for the kayak trip, Contact ACA in White Springs to reserve boats (386-397-1309). Boats will be picked up on Friday Aug 18 and delivered to Suwannee River State Park and returned Saturday afternoon to ACA. Please RSVP to Sharon Shea, so we can get an idea of how many are kayaking please. Please do not wait until the last minute to reserve your kayak.

Kayak Itinerary:

• 8 am: Meet at Suwannee River State Park Pavalion #2
• 8:10 am: depart (shuttle vehicles to Gibson Park)
• 8:30 am: arrive Gibson Park (off load kayaks)
• 9:00 am: drivers only shuttle vehicles back to Suwannee River State Park
• 10:00 am: Launch Kayaks down the river
• 2 pm: arrive at Suwannee River State Park (get ready to tube down the river for those interested)
