Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
The fall season at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park revolves around the river and trails. Flowers bloom throughout the season amid dense green foliage and native species include blazing star, ladies tresses, Spanish needle and palmetto. Bird watchers may easily spot several species of woodpeckers, hawks, herons, ducks, owls and other birds and wildlife. The park offers a section of the Florida Scenic Trail that skirts along the edge of the Suwannee River. Nearby Big Shoals State Park and Public Lands has 28 miles of trails for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.
